HOW TO DO BUSINESS WITH COUNCIL TENDERING WORKSHOP
Hinchinbrook Shire Council is encouraging local businesses to take part in a free Tendering Workshop designed to help suppliers better understand Council procurement processes and improve their tender submissions.
TIME: 5.00pm – 7.00pm
DATE: Monday, 17 August 2026
LOCATION: Hinchinbrook Shire Council chambers, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham
The workshop has been tailored to address common issues identified in recent tender applications and will provide practical guidance to help businesses prepare stronger, more competitive submissions.
As part of the workshop the Queensland Government’s Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning will also be on hand to answer questions.
Participants will gain insights into:
- Common reasons tender submissions fail before reaching assessment
- How tender responses are evaluated, including factors beyond price
- Practical tips to improve compliance and strengthen responses
- Resources and tools available to support businesses seeking procurement opportunities
- Contractual obligations and expectations once a contract is awarded
